We are looking for a strategic technology leader who has successfully scaled a team of software developers before and is ready to do it again. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, and will have a proven track record of taking a great product and a great team and making it exceptional. As the senior technical leader, your primary responsibility will be to grow the team and guide them through adding new features and updating existing ones. You will work closely with your peers on the leadership team to assist with our company strategy.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Create a culture of excellence, while providing technical vision and direction to ensure the development team is aligned with the company strategy
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable software
  • Assess and recommend software architecture design decisions
  • Manage and optimize workflow processes
  • Implement metrics and monitoring to assess system and infrastructure performance
  • Attract, retain, mentor, and develop an outstanding and motivated team
  • Coach team members on coding practices and in making business-driven decisions
  • Identify and implement time-saving and quality-boosting processes for dev, test, and dev ops
  • Identify, research, and propose strategic initiatives in a way that balances both the short and long term company goals
  • Work across other departments to get alignment on dev-related items
 
Requirements/Skills:
 
  • Extensive technology leadership experience on development teams, with several years of hands-on software development experience
  • Directly led a team of more than 40 developers, including on shore and off shore
  • A solid understanding of software architecture in web and mobile applications
  • Experience with specifying and managing IT infrastructure, including with outside vendors
  • Experience with SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Led the entire recruiting, hiring, and training process for developersd
  • Created business cases for various IT initiatives and presented them to business leadership for approval
 
All candidates must be legally eligible to work for any employer in the United States.  Role is onsite in Las Vegas, NV. This is NOT a remote opportunity.
