Oracle Database Administrator II - The Oracle DBA will be responsible for developing and maintaining the corporate database, and creating and administering all database objectives.
Responsible for database administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, performance tuning, backup and recovery
Responsible for evaluating patch releases from Oracle
Patch requests from development, and communicating constraints, issues, and timelines for deployment.
Database and PL/SQL optimization including performance tuning, query optimization and supportability
Implementation and ongoing support of high availability architecture
Participate in project design and Oracle database design decisions
Support of the nightly ETL processing
Regular proactive capacity planning and tending reviews of all oracle databases.
Develop and implement Database security policies and procedures
BS/BA degree in a related technical discipline
5+ years Oracle DBA working experience on Oracle 10g and/or Oracle 11g.
Experienced on the different versions of Oracle (10g, 11g) on multiple operating systems (UNIX, Linux).
Experienced in Database backup using RMAN with RMAN Catalog, Oracle 10g and/or Oracle 11g Data Guard, tools such as Toad, Spotlight, or other Monitoring tools.
Strong skills in PL/SQL and UNIX/Linux Shell Scripting
Experience with Oracle Security Administration
