    Our client is seeking an iSeries Manager to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate has experience in planning, design, implementation, administer and support all IBM Power Systems and IBMi operating systems. 

    Successful candidates excel at and enjoy:
    • Leading and providing support to Power Systems Managers and responsible for Power Systems security management.
    • Supervising and managing direct day-to-day operations and support members of the teams including training staff on new systems.
    • Mentoring, coaching, and leading staff; create work assignments; establish priorities; monitor, review, and supervise completion of assignments on time; develop professional growth opportunities; conduct performance evaluations and initiate corrective actions as well as hiring, termination, training and succession planning processes.
    • Providing data and reporting of Key Performance Indicators and trends to IT Department and others as needed.
    • Developing and maintaining 'Service and Business Level Agreements' to set expectations and measure performance.
    • Documentation/Knowledgebase Development
    • Project Management
    • Operations Support
    • Manage promotion of applications and/or code through multiple environments on a Power System/IBMi platform (DEV/TEST/QA/PROD/ETC)

     
    Job Requirements
     

    Your previous experience includes:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
    • 5+ years' experience managing technical teams in a challenging, result-oriented environment.
    • Working knowledge and foundation in Power Systems and IBMi technologies.
    • Knowledge in widely used services and protocols such as DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
    • TurnOver software a plus.
    • General understanding of infrastructure components; LAN/WAN devices, UPS systems, power. 
    • Solid understanding of ITIL concepts/methodologies.
    • Hands-on experience with high-availability/replication tools (iTERA, Mimix, QEDD, PowerHA, etc.).
    • 21+ years of age.
    • Gaming experience preferred.

    Salary: $115k-125k
