Our client is seeking a Fire Alarm - Low Voltage Cable Technician to join their team. This role is a Full Time, Direct Hire Opportunity in Las Vegas, NV.
Successful candidates excel at and enjoy:
- Oversee and perform installation of low voltage infrastructure (CAT5e, CAT6, fiber optic, coax) for data, voice, access control, and surveillance systems
- Supervise or mentor junior technicians, ensuring safe, efficient work in the field
- Complete rack and stack tasks, closet buildouts, labeling, and system testing
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and site plans to ensure accuracy in all installs
- Perform splicing, termination, and troubleshooting of voice/data cabling
- Conduct operational testing and certification of installed systems (cable/network/security)
Job Requirements
Your previous experience includes:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Low Voltage Technician.
- Fire Alarm Technician experience
- Commercial cabling experience - confident working on active job sites.
- Prefer OSHA10 Card
- Deep knowledge of Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic installations.
- Familiarity with IP-based security systems, NVR's CCTV, access control (preferred)
- Experience in punch down, labeling, cable dressing, and equipment installation. Must have own set of tools.
- Comfortable working at heights, on lifts, in ceilings, and using ladders.
Work Schedule: 6am-3pm
Salary: $20/hr. - $35/hr.
