We're looking for an Engineer I - IBM iSeries / Power Systems to join our IT Infrastructure team in Las Vegas. In this role, you'll help support and maintain mission‑critical IBM i (AS/400) and Power Systems environments that keep our client's business applications running smoothly.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early hands‑on IBM i experience who wants to grow their career in enterprise systems administration within a highly regulated, fast‑paced environment.
Successful candidates excel at and enjoy:
- Administer, maintain, and support IBM iSeries / Power Systems hardware and software
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to hardware, software, access, and performance
- Monitor system performance, file systems, shares, and permissions
- Respond to and manage incidents and service requests through the Help Desk ticketing system
Job Requirements
Your previous experience includes:
- At least 2 years of experience administering IBM iSeries / Power Systems
- IBM technical certifications (IBM i / System Administration 7.1+ or similar
- Plan and implement system upgrades, patches (PTFs), and repairs
- At least 1 year of experiencewith IBM i utilities and tools such as:
- IBM Client Access
- IBM Navigator / Director
- BRMS (Backup, Recovery, and Media Services)
- Security and auditing tools (iSecurity, Help Systems, absMessage, or similar)
Salary: $70-$80k
