Our client is seeking a Support Technician I in Las Vegas, NV. This position is a PT-contract on-site position.
The Support Technician I is an entry-level, client-facing technical role responsible for responding to and resolving IT issues reported by clients through email, phone, and our remote monitoring and alerting systems.
This position works closely with Lead Technicians and Engineers to both learn from and assist in daily service delivery and project work. As an extension of our clients' organizations, the Support Technician I understands that technology issues directly impact productivity and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming support requests related to computer systems, hardware, and software, both remotely and in person
- Monitor, assess, and resolve alerts generated by our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) system
- Ask effective questions to accurately identify the nature and scope of reported issues
- Guide end users through troubleshooting steps in a clear, calm, and professional manner
- Install, configure, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
- Perform basic diagnostics, system clean-up, and preventative maintenance tasks
- Install and support peripherals such as printers, monitors, scanners, and other devices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LAN, WAN, and basic networking environments
- Follow up with users to confirm issues are fully resolved and satisfaction is maintained
- Assist Lead Technicians and Engineers with service delivery and project execution
- Maintain documentation and notes related to support activities
- Perform other duties as required to support client environments and internal operations
Job Requirements
This is an entry-level position. We are seeking candidates with foundational technical knowledge and a strong desire to grow.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior help desk experience or equivalent technical training and/or certifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Comfort working on ladders and in various physical environments
- Reliable personal transportation
- Personal cell phone for business communication
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Exposure to managed services environments
- Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and networking concepts
- Entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals)
