We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a highly collaborative and technically strong data engineering team remotely supporting a major cloud transformation initiative. This role is critical to the organization's roadmap as the team migrates enterprise data platforms from on‑prem environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This is a hands‑on, senior‑level role for someone who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving, and building scalable data solutions in a modern cloud environment.
Successful candidates excel at and enjoy:
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ingestion frameworks on Google Cloud Platform
- Support large‑scale on‑prem to GCP cloud migrations
- Develop and maintain solutions using:
- BigQuery
- GCP Dataflow
- Cloud Storage
- Python
Job Requirements
Your previous experience includes:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Hands‑on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Strong experience with:
- BigQuery
- Data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Python for data engineering
- Experience working with APIs, data ingestion, and large datasets
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Hourly: $120k
