Clark County Elections is seeking a Bilingual - Spanish Translator to support voters and election staff during election operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring voters who speak Tagalog receive accurate, professional, and nonpartisan assistance regarding voting procedures, election information, and voter services.
The ideal candidate is fluent in both Tagalog and English, possesses strong communication skills, maintains strict neutrality, and is committed to supporting fair and accessible elections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide verbal and written translation services between Spanish and English.
- Assist voters with election-related questions and voting procedures.
- Support election staff with interpretation during voter interactions.
- Translate election materials, forms, notices, and instructions as needed.
- Maintain voter confidentiality and uphold election security standards.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Prior translation or interpretation experience - plus
- Experience working with the public, customer service, or call center environments.
- Be available for the whole contract during the election season.
