This position is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the transition of new and existing products into a software driven automated manufacturing environment and providing effective and organized support for our printer products and manufacturing systems.
The candidate should possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree or have a minimum of five years" experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate should have the ability to create computer programs with complete user interface and understand software platforms such as Visual Studio, .NET Framework, C#, ASP.net, and Lab View. In addition, must be able to review, update and improve existing computer programs written in a variety of languages. Individual must be knowledgeable in APP development for both Android and iOS platforms. Responsibilities also include access to and maintenance of data residing in Cloud Based ERP systems. The incumbent should possess sound knowledge of lean principles such as value stream mapping, SMED, Kaizen, and 5S. The incumbent must have good oral/written communication skills and solid project management, organizational and planning skills. Excellent analytical skills and solid working knowledge and use of word processing, spreadsheets, and MRP software are required.
Nature and Scope:
The incumbent reports to the Operations Manager. No one reports to the incumbent.
The incumbent must be able to diagnose line build problems in both electrical and mechanical areas of the company"s products. In addition, will be required to access Cloud based data using standard tools such as Restful API"s and SQL *Plus.
The incumbent is responsible for providing factory support involving parts acceptance, troubleshooting on new and existing products, clarifying procedures and documentation, and providing feedback to engineering as to the manufacturability of present and next generation products. In the performance of these duties, the candidate regularly interfaces with internal contacts from operations, engineering, and quality assurance. The candidate will also interface with global suppliers and contract manufacturers which will require some international travel.
This individual will be leading 6-Sigma DMAIC projects. Statistical analysis skills are required. Working knowledge of Minitab is a plus. Green Belt Certification desired.
As a new product is introduced into the manufacturing area in its pre-production phase, the incumbent evaluates the unit as to its ability to be produced. The incumbent will make recommendations on how to improve the product or redesign the product if problems are foreseen for manufacturability. There are numerous challenges to this position. The incumbent must be able to devise new automated systems for final test failure analysis used by manufacturing, must develop more efficient programs to better test the final product (to allow more versatility), and must recommend new capital equipment needs to help improve production efficiencies.
